Myeongdong Cathedral

Myeongdong is one of the must-see places in Seoul. It’s impossible to go to this place without buying anything because it’s filled with good and cheap finds like make-up, clothes and food. Aside from shopping, you shouldn’t miss visiting Myeongdong Cathedral.

It may seem like an ordinary church and its architecture doesn’t really look like other Korean structures…

…but this cathedral has a rich history. It’s the first parish in Korea and it served as a refuge for activists.

Underground, there are cafes, clothing store, bookstore, and other shops.

When we visited, there was a big group having a Korean traditional game tournament. A lot of ahjummas and ahjussis were playing. Really cute to watch!!

Of course I had to join the games too! They gave us mini-robot toys as a prize.  It was a really fun way to experience Korean culture! 🙂
